Re: [orca-list] using orca with firefox

Hi,
I don't use Google, but startpage.com instead (and I see duckduckgo is also very screen reader friendly those
days), but...
I remember there was a bug, where the Google's search field is a combo box, so you could not jump to it with
'e'. I don't remember if it was possible to jump to it with 'c'.
I use Orca master, and it's fixed in master, but Don probably doesn't use the latest version (I'm not sure
this fix was in Orca 3.20, either).
Excuse me, if I'm totaly out of sense here - I don't read every message lately, so I'm not up-to-date with
who uses which version, if it was pointed.

Hi,

I hate to state the obvious here but push e for edit.

If that does not work check F7 for an enabled caret or sometimes the
numlock status impacts the functionality.

cheers

Hi,

Now that I have a kalilinux livecd I can use, I am wondering if there
are any tricks to using orca with firefox?

I tried opening google.com in firefox, but couldn’t find the search
field while using orca.

Any tips would be appreciated.

Don
