Howdy,>> When I type ocrdesktop in a terminal to test

I read an blog about "tesseract should now reconize the language by its own".I did a little test now and reconize that this is totaly wrong *smile*. i didnt reconize it because i installed the german and the english tesseract language pack.it was also able to OCR german text good enought that i did not verify what language is use. if no language is specified tesseract falls back to english. this is why you got this error.i will later implement a parameter for specifieing the language. but i recomment you also to install the english language package because many things are not translated into german.I give you feedback as soon as i fixed it.thanks for reporting this!Cheers chrysGesendet: Donnerstag, 10.
