Re: [orca-list] RDP with speech?

Hi,
I am sorry if this is not Orca related, but it is related to this subject.
I have recently tried to use Remmina as I need to controll remote
Windows server 2012 r2. I experience a problem where sound is chopped at
the end and rest of it is played after I press some other key.
So for example it says:
Desktop, dashboard one of
after I press for example down arrow, it says
three recycle one of
Do you understand me? It is really annoying and I don't know if this is
specific to my setting.
I am running Arch Linux, Remmina and Freerdp from git.
Thanks,
Vojta

Thanks! I figured it'd be a whacky work around of some sort.

There is no possibility to directly use speech as on windows, but there is
the possibility to make the server redirect sound to you and then start a
screenreader remotely, you will hear the sound and will be able to use the
system.
I would recommend remmina for rdp connection, but instead of just using a
quick connect, you have to create a new profile to be able to set sound
redirection to local, etc

All,

I've got a couple of MSWindows boxes I need to access remotely. As is the way with such hosts, they want
to use RDP. Have we any solutions that involve starting from a Linux box--preferably with orca, but I
know that's asking a lot.

Thanks,
