Just looked at the site with a windows screen reader. There are sidebars that are in framesets but no data is being given the accessibility stack on their contents. This site is just plain broken for these purposes. As has ben mentioned, all images lack alternative text. It’s probably going to be a pretty hard sell to get the website developers of a picture and video-intensive site like this one to make things accessible. I mean, there are videos of things like Cheetah cubs on here and pictures of wildlife. Very interesting stuff, I must say but the site is totally aimed and built around a visual experience. Are there articles, social media, voiced videos or anything else a blind person might enuoy on there? Alex M From: orca-list [mailto:orca-list-bounces gnome org] On Behalf Of Daniel Barich A quick look at the web site indicates that it has a lot of images that are unlabeled (no alt text). So, the web site needs to provide alt text; otherwise its not accessible with any platform/screen reader. On Wed, Jan 21, 2015 at 8:03 AM, Mgr.
