Re: [orca-list] orca silent on vlc media player

Hello,
It sounds like you don't have qt-at-spi package installed. Try installing it using apt-get or using software centre you should then get access to QT4 based apps like VLC media player.

Hi,
using ubuntu 14.04 gnome (gnome 3.12), orca 3.14 and vlc.

when in vlc app, orca silent speech. but when alt tab out of it, speech is resume. But when on vlc, orca commands work. This can be supported by this evidence, when pressing insert+space to launch orca preferences, the dialog launches and orca starts speaking.

so any solution?
