[orca-list] guessing the labels of unlabeled fields, thoughts?

This is an issue that has been bugging me for quite a while, but I'm
not at all sure what to do about it. Unlabeled fields. Unlabeled text
boxes, check boxes, buttons, tables, etc. I personally think orca
should try to guess the label of something that doesn't have a proper
label, but the last thing I want is orca getting it wrong, or being
like windows, and being way too verbose. The proper solution, of
course, would be to have app authors give their controls proper labels
in whatever format orca needs, but as we all know, that usually
doesn't happen. The reasons are numerous. I've only seen a few
applications with proper labels to their controls, most noteably
thunderbird, in it's mail accountsetup wizard. Most other apps, though
not all, say simply text, indicating a field, push button, etc. I'm
not a developer, so can't do anything about this. Should orca attempt
to guess the label of something based on the line immediately
preceeding the unlabeled field? msot of the time if a button is
unlabeled, I can flat review to the line below and get the labvel of
whatever I need, though this isn't always the case. It has no sort of
video scraper, so this wouldn't work. Anyone else want to chip in?
