Re: [orca-list] what to expect for Orca on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS?

Unless I'm mistaken I heard from Luke, maybe someone else who should know, that it'll be 3.10, not 3.12
shipping on Trusty. For sure not to quote me on that, but I'd take a small even odds bet...grin
I tried evince for the first time in years a couple days ago using Orca 3.10 and evince 3.10.3, and was
impressed.
A lot of weight on Luke's shoulder's to get that UnityDesktop environment up to snuff for us by release
time, hopefully there won't be many unwanted surprises in the next few weeks.
Any word regarding firefox and Orca? I guess it will be FX27 or 28 more likely that are on 14.04. I just
rolled back to firefox 23 from 26 on Arch/XFCE due to a few minor issues, and serious problems with
speechdispatcher &/or firefox taking over my CPU at some seemingly random times as well as when in certain
parts of certain webpages. Most if not all of the issues have cleared up with the downgrade.
I am working with rather marginal system resources, but know that others have had problems on more robust
hardware.

1, will Unity 3d be finally accessible and to what extent?
If memory serves me, I remember to be read an e-mail from Luke telling that
unity 3d would be accessible in the next LTS version.

2, Will there be a possibility to have Gnome 3.10 on the said version?
I beleive that gnome 3.10 is already present in ubuntu 13.10. Perhaps gnome
3.12 in 14.04.
3, I saw a mail few days before on pdf acccessibility through evince?
Will that accessible version be available on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS?
Depend on the version of gnome present in 14.04. If gnome 3.10 or above is
installed, the answer is yes.

Happy hacking.
Krishnakant.
