Hi Christopher,
That very well could be. As I indicated in an earlier post control+tab
was working before, but I tried to upgrade to Ubuntu 13.04 on this
box, it failed, and then I blew it away and started over with Ubuntu
12.04.2, and now control+tab doesn't work in Firefox even though I
checked the keyboard keystroke is set in Control Center. So it may be
a minor configuration issue somewhere that got messed up during the
reinstall of Ubuntu 12.

I'm not sure you're problem with control+tab not switching between tabs
is a problem with Firefox. Since I'm not seeing that problem, there may
be something peculiar about your system.

Hi Dave,
That was basically my point to Bill if that wasn't very clear. I have
always had good success with LTS releases, and where I sit 13.04
really has nothing to offer me that I don't really have already in
12.04.2. LibreOffice 3.5.7 is working good with Orca, I'm using it on
a daily basis, with little complaint so why get LibreOffice 4.0 which
I've heard has a few issues. Firefox is also working good aside for
the little issue with control+tab not switching tabs. Movie Player,
File Roller, Gedit, and most of the other apps I use daily haven't
changed that much from version to version so I doubt there is some
absolutely compelling need for Raring. I'm personally waiting for
Ubuntu 14 which comes out next year.

An LTS release, with added repos for backports and the few programs you
actually *need* to upgrade between releases, is fine!
