Yes, they do, but the problem is they aren't accessible out of the box
the way Sonar's alternative desktop spins are. Last time I checked
Xubuntu, which comes with Xfce, Orca wasn't installed and I would have
to have someone sighted install Xubuntu, install Orca, and then
configure Xfce for access. Kubuntu isn't much better. After installing
Kubuntu you have to install Orca, at-spi, qt-atspi, etc separately and
configure the access for KDE. So unless access has changed those
alternative versions of Ubuntu you speak of aren't very VI friendly
natively. Sonar is a better option because I can download a version
with Gnome, LXDE, whatever with Orca installed and ready to go.

kubuntu, xubuntu and so on?
