When nothing has focus, Where Am I, Date-time, Learn Mode, and 
Preferences should work, with Where Am I saying something like "nothing 
has focus".  I like having the desktop whether it's GNOME Flashback or 
Shell, especially with the home folder, trash, network servers, and 
mounted removable items.
