Oh wow, I forgot all about checking that. I just got gnome up and
running this weekend and installed Libreoffice yesterday. I'm using
whatever the default is; I will look at this tonight and make sure
reading cell is chosen. That is what I always used in the past. I
forgot that option was even there.

Hmmm. I'm not seeing this. But I have Orca set to speak cell rather than
speak row. Does changing that make a difference for you?
I'm using Libreoffice 4.0.4 for all this fun and games.
4.1.0.1 myself, but don't know if that has anything to do with it.
