I installed the necessary packages (atkwrapper was already installed),
but swing based apps still don't work.
Happy hacking.

Firstly Thanks Alex for the hint.
Well for those who want to know the exact package name, it is
libaccess-bridge-java, which you can use with sudo apt-get install
Do you mean to say that you can access swing based apps now? Am I wrong
in thinking that atk-wrapper is supposed to replace the access-bridge?
Anyway, even though the packages
libaccess-bridge-java
libaccess-bridge-java-jni
libatk-wrapper-java
libatk-wrapper-java-jni
are installed on my system, I cannot use jitsi. Can someone please give
me a hint how to check that my accessibility setup is working? For
instance by naming a particular java program that is known to be
accessible but only if atk-wrapper and / or the access-bridge are
installed and used properly.
Thanks in advance,
Elias
