Re: [orca-list] Issues with the keys

HI Thomas,

Thomas, so are you now using Unity?
After removing the sidebar, I see nautilus really doing good, infact pritty good and I am using Unity 2d
which much better experience.
I am actually having only one problem which is really not any thing to do with Orca.
Basically I keep getting bug reports like I used to get in the beta versions of Ubuntu 12.04 even after
installing a newer version.
I did not delete my home partition though so this might be the reason.
But I don't know which folder I must kill, because I feel some hidden folder like mieacity must be telling
Ubuntu that I am still in the beta mode.
But accessibility is really pritty good except the rename field for files and folders which are not announced
by Orca.
Happy hacking.

Hi Simon,

Thanks for the messages. Both of those things helped out a lot.
Nautilus runs much faster now that I removed the sidebar, and
killing that Metacity directory seems to have stabelized the
keyboard shortcuts. Those were two of my biggest complaints about
Ubuntu 12 and I'm glad to know there are workarounds like this to
resolve them.

Cheers!

If yes, remove the ~/.gconf/apps/metacity folder and restart the system.

If you not stored important custom settings with Metacity related,
until this bug is not fixed, I suggest you add the startup manager
a script with always remove the .gconf/apps/metacity folder if
this folder are exist.

Haven't tried that out myself.
