It may well be a crash somewhere in libatspi; if you have debugging
symbols for AT-SPI2 and could attach to the Orca python process in gdb and
reproduce the crash, then I think you could get a useful stack trace.
(It would be easier to do this if you have a console screen reader set up,
though).
You get this crash as soon as you open Thunderbird? I can open alpha 3
and don't see the crash.
Thanks,

Hello,
I have got a debug file for when the crash happens, doesn't reveal much, it
just seems to end with no error reported. Find the debug file attached as it
may help someone track this down.
I actually have repeated debugging twice and both times it stopped at the
same point so may be there is a clue in that.

Hello,
I have noticed that orca 3.0.1 seems to crash quite a bit for me. As an
example when I opened thunderbird (3.3 branch) orca crashed with the
following output to stderr:
** (orca:7204): WARNING **: Trying to register gtype 'WnckWindowState' as
enum when in fact it is of type 'GFlags'
** (orca:7204): WARNING **: Trying to register gtype 'WnckWindowActions' as
enum when in fact it is of type 'GFlags'
** (orca:7204): WARNING **: Trying to register gtype
'WnckWindowMoveResizeMask' as enum when in fact it is of type 'GFlags'
/usr/bin/orca: line 113: 7204 Floating point exception/usr/bin/python2 -c
"import orca.orca; orca.orca.main()" "$ARGS"
This is using at-spi2 through dbus in gnome 3. However, I have seen crashes
at the same point with orca 3.0.1 and at-spi2 on dbus in LXDE and XFCE.
I have thunderbird set to prompt me for passwords, but I have seen it with
other applications. Orca never announced that the passwrod box had appeared
when starting thunderbird and I was not pressing any keys after pressing
enter on thunderbird-beta in the menu to open thunderbird.
Any clues what the problem might be, I know the error message isn't over
informative.
