Yes, if you can do it, the checkbox sounds like a good idea. Thanks!

Hi Martin.
This sounds like a good candidate for a check box decision
because some people will think that one behavior is the thing
they've been waiting for all their lives and others will wish it
was the other way.
This is another possibility. I'll wait until other folks chime in
because everyone might conclude such an option is probably not necessary
having considered the situation (consistent presentation of links, you
can always Down arrow to quickly get the description).
But if enough people think it should be a configurable option, here's
the thing to consider: GNOME has freeze rules. The code freeze has just
been lifted for GNOME 3. In other words I can now make changes in the
GNOME 3 branch, like removing my little tweak. However, for GNOME 3, we
remain under string and gui freeze. A configurable option will, of
course, require both a string to be translated and a widget by which to
choose an option. Therefore, I can put such an option into Orca master
and include it in upcoming unstable releases as we look to GNOME 3.2.
What I cannot do is include in the 3.0 branch for inclusion in GNOME
3.0.1 or 3.0.2.
So.... Given that configuration is not going to be an option for distros
which ship Yelp 3 in the spring, the original question still needs to be
considered: Keep the tweak for consistent user experience and quick
"table of contents" functionality? Or remove the tweak and present the
true AT-SPI events?
Thanks for the feedback!
