Yeah see my thread about a page acting squirrelly.  Joanie responded
with that fact this site I was trying to use had a bunch of dead
accessibles.  this has been apparently an on-going problem with
firefox and is accounted for in bug 420993 on the Mozilla site.

I will probably go over there and maybe add the URL to my most recent
experience to the bug.  This problem seems to crop up several times
for several people.
