Re: [orca-list] Current Status of Braille Support

Hi John,
I've just joined this list. Recently I got Redhat Enterprise Linux
with
Orca-1.0.0. I've been trying to download the latest stable release of
Orca because it may have better braille support, to say nothing of
access to more applications.
I believe that redhat enterprise linux has a pretty old version of the
gnome desktop. If you realy want to stick with redhat you would
probably get a much more up to date desktop by running the latest
fedora. Users are also having good success with the latest open solaris
and ubuntu distributions. You can find more useful information at:
live.gnome.org/Orca. We have quite a bit of info their on installing
and configuring.
Hope this helps.
Mike
