Hi Joanie,
to begin with your last question: The Orca modifier key is not released
after pressing Orca+tab or Orca+shift+tab. This is reproducable and
happens all the time you do a search for form fields.
To check for the other issues:
Open google or gmx or any site with form fields. Press Orca+tab to go
through the fields till the end. This works quite stable. The problems
really start when navigating back: Press Orca+shift+tab to move back.
Sometimes it works, sometimes you hear the form field spoken and
additional some links as if you've pressed shift+tab. I admit that it
could be a handling problem, but it happens in almost every case. To
check this out it would be helpful to temporarily redefine this hotkey
to Orca+control+tab, which is easier to handle (or take any keystroke
that seems easy and useful).
The history chattiness ocurs also when moving back, however it seems to
be a FF problem, because I experience similar issues with Jaws and FF.
When I load a new page, I hear the history. When I press alt+home to go
to the stat page, wich is im my case a blank page, I always hear the
history instead of "about:blank". Note: All that isn't brailled.
I checked the navigation toolbar and the status bar; but unchecking them
doesn't change anything.
I fear I've to submit a debug.out, but this will be a huge one. So I
hope I mustn't.
Hermann
