Hi.

You have several choices.  You can choose quit from the system menu, select the log out icon from the top 
pannel, or type sudo reboot in a gnome-terminal.

On the live CD, you might not need the sudo.  If you choose quit or logout, you will be in a dialog.  Tab to 
the shutdown or reboot option in the dialog and press enter.
