One possibility is to use a separate router (or Linux machine) connected to the LAN port of the modem and use PPPoE pass-through, if the Fritzbox supports it and the ISP allows multiple PPPoE sessions. I use this solution with the VDSL gateway provided by Telecom Italia. Beniamino
And "any VDSL" modem is hard to find on the market, and if it is found, it costs > 100 Euros, way more than a Fritzbox. I have not yet been this curious. Greetings Marc
