AFAIK this is statement was targeted towards the MeeGo netbook version.
The MeeGo handset version will not contain any GTK+ by default.

Hildon for netbooks is probably not really interesting, so I think we
have to create a GTK+ version and a Hildon version that targets MeeGo
handset only.

That's also the reason why I was suggesting earlier, that we could try
to use the current Maemo5 GTK+ and Hildon versions. The GTK+ version is
of course a bit outdated, but I don't think that's too bad. At least it
would be a start and maybe easier to accomplish than targeting the most
recent GTK+ version.
