A little annoyance. When using + or - to select or deselect all files,
an "M" appears on the commandline just below the boxes. All sequence
acts (changing directory by entering on the ".." or using + or - again)
get treated like you are editing the commandline. The next + results in
a +M, the next - results in a -M.
This looks like a problem that can be fixed by Options->Learn Keys in the
menu. However, some details are strange. I suggest that you teach those
keys again. If it doesn't help, remove the "kpplus" entry from ~/.mc/ini
manually and use Learn Keys again.
Ok, that did it. teaching the keys again did it. Thank you very much. I
never used that function before.
I found a different problem, though I will post with a proper subject in
a minute.
Oh, by the way, the problem persisted a fresh install of Fedora and
showed up on both xterm and Gnome terminal. mmmm, I did keep my home
directory, so maybe the keyboard thingies survived the install...
Ok, anyway, thanks for your help.
Guus Bonnema.
Now.... I may have been a little premature in my conclusion. Indeed it
did work. However, even though I save both the learned keys and the
setup, when I quite MC en restart, the problem reoccurs.
Should I delete mc.ini from my home directory?
Guus Bonnema.
