Re: how can I start MC in my language?

Hi, all! 
I've started mc in mongolian. But it looks like so!

Is the UTF encoding not supported yet? or? 
I'm using SuSE8.1 with gnome2.2. :-)
And this locale has a error! 
If I type:
# localedef -f UTF-8 -i mn_MN mn_MN.UTF-8
LC_ADDRESS: `country_ab2' value does not match
`country_num' value
no output file produced because warning were issued
linux:~ #
But the the country_ab2 is mn correct. 
And country_num 496 also correct! I don't know, why
it's fatal.
I've deleted (or put %) this country_num line. Then it
works fine!
How can I use mc in mongolian?

You forgot to mention your operating system.  You
may find this document

The generic answer is that you should set your
locale, which is normally
done by setting the environment variable LANG.  More
details can be found
in the file ABOUT-NLS included with the Midnight
Commander distribution.
If you are using bash or another shell compatible
with Bourne shell, you
can use this command:

LANG=mn_MN mc

The problem is that glibc doesn't know this locale
yet as of version
2.3.2.  If you look in the glibc sources, there is
no file
localedata/locales/mn_MN.

Mandrake Linux distributes Mongolian locale.  If you
are using glibc, but
not Mandrake Linux, you may want to recompile glibc
with the mn_MN file
from the Mandrake package, which I'm attaching.

Shame to other posters who didn't bother to check
facts.
