Not controversy, per se.  But for all I know the marketing team has a
Grand Unified Plan (tm) for branding GNOME web services, and would
therefore object to having a "competing" brand hosted on GNOME
servers.

No, I've thought about the Tomboy branding a bit, and don't see it as
restricted to one GTK# app.  We refer to the REST API implemented by
Snowy (and Ubuntu One, and Midgard2) as "Tomboy Web", even though it
could be implemented by any server and consumed by any client.  I've
considered letting the Tomdroid and Conboy projects use the Tomboy
name as well, to enhance their association with the Tomboy project.

And so, it just seems natural to me to call the hosted web app "Tomboy
Online", tying all of these things together.

And I have no objection to that, either.  online.gnome.org/notes would
work fine for me.
