To be honest, a 10% response to any sort of questionnaire/survey,
online or otherwise, is just about what you'd normally expect.  It
would be great if it were higher, but it's hard to change human
nature :/

If 10% is what you expected, then it was more improtant to ask a larger group. 8 people (10% of registerd 80)  is rather a poor reporesentative of the community.
