Note that this document is from the old gtk2-perl (as opposed to
gtk2-perl-xs) tree and may contain outdated information.  Quickly
scanning through it, I only found this:

Old                                                        New
Gtk->main_iteration while Gtk->events_pending          Gtk2->update_ui

gtk2-perl-xs doesn't have Gtk2->update_ui.
