I know i'm not helping, but it's kind of weird that they took away your
ability to manipulate packages, yet you are still allowed to download,
compile and (presumably) install random stuff.

As for solving your problems, i can recommend [1] (there must be
RedHad/Fedora equivalent somewhere, but i don't know what it is), which
you can use to find which packages provide the files you seek, and from
which source packages these packages are built.

Also, learn to read configure.ac and config.log. The things that
configure spews into your console are not very useful.

More to the point - try to figure out which package provides
atk-bridge-2.0.pc file, then install that package. If you did, and it
still isn't found, try to check where pkg-config looks for .pc files by
giving it a --debug argument in addition to whatever configure gives it
(obviously, you'll need to find where configure invokes pkg-config;
running configure under `sh -x' might help), or, if your version of
pkg-config doesn't suppor that, set PKG_CONFIG_DEBUG_SPEW environment
variable.

You are advised to set PKG_CONFIG_PATH, and that is what you might have
to do eventually.
