Well, there are only 17 open bugs for 3.4. I'm not sure open bugs for 
old versions do any harm, but I can do some tidying of the database over 
the holidays. Somehow, my git and bugzilla email alerts have died, and I 
need to re-enable that.

Are you able to poke at your exif data-loss issue and provide a patch?
