If both OSS and ALSA do not detect any device, are you sure that they are correctly setup? Let's take ALSA as a basis : - make sure ALSA is selected as plugin in the gnomemeeting preferences (I'm not sure you understand what i mean) - if the devices list stays at "No device found", then please mail me the output of "aplay -l". aplay is an util that comes with alsa-util.
