Unfortunately not if you follow the RFC, that is why I mailed the first
time and that is why I told it was counter-intuitive :(
The RFC:

Tells that :
address     =   user / "@" hostport / user "@" hostport

However, when Robert tells that mymachine.com would be an user name and
1740 a password, I'm not sure he is right.

callto is still useful for ILS, but I agree.
