Yes, definitely a better idea. The only "problem" with such a system (but also with mine) is that it does change the language for the whole site.

So if you want to get back to your language you have to clear the cookie (or close the browser). And also it will change all the labels (eg, login and all).

I think however that this is a minor issue that we can address in the future: as is, we should go on with the standard LinguaPlone.
