Fantastic. That did it. Thanks!
Now a pilot-xfer -L happily works.
I'm still struggling with gpilotd, however. I'm using gpilotd-2.0.12,
and added the Treo 650 to the devices.xml file. When trying to get the
applet going, gpilotd does open /dev/ttyUSB1 and prints out
(gpilotd:6852): gpilotd-WARNING **: Number of pilots is
configured to 0
gpilotd-Message: Watching Cradle (/dev/pilot)
gpilotd-Message: corba: get_user_info
(cradle=Cradle,survival=0,timeout=0)
gpilotd-Message: assigned handle num 6
gpilotd-Message: Found 4766, 0001
gpilotd-Message: Using net TRUE
gpilotd-Message: Found 0502, 0736
And then prints out a long list of what appear to be the devices.xml
entries, including the one I added:
gpilotd-Message: Found 0830, 0061
gpilotd-Message: Using net TRUE
Then, although it's listening on the right device, I get timeout errors:
gpilotd-Message: setting PILOTRATE=57600
(gpilotd:15237): gpilotd-WARNING **: pi_accept_to: Connection
timed out
(gpilotd:15237): gpilotd-WARNING **: pi_accept_to: timeout was 5
secs
gpilotd-Message: setting PILOTRATE=57600
(gpilotd:15237): gpilotd-WARNING **: pi_accept_to: Connection
timed out
(gpilotd:15237): gpilotd-WARNING **: pi_accept_to: timeout was 5
secs
My next notion is that I should look at the CVS repository for gpilotd,
as I noted that they changed the daemon itself when the added support
for the Treo 600.
Are there other theories I should be pursuing? And if the source is the
best next step, does anybody know whether there's a public CVS
repository for gpilotd?
Thanks,
William
