Re: [gnome-love] where do I start? [Gnome-applets tasklist applet].

Hey there,
I have started looking into the deskguide-applet code and how it works.
I actually had some of the same ideas that you just pointed out. I am
setting up another workstation to try out some other window managers and
their deskguides (a workstation I can kill in the name of science and
not feel bad about).
Let me mention again that I am just starting out with C, so don't
expect results really really soon, however I am dedicating as much time
to it as I can right now.
For future reference, what list should this be posted to? gnome-core
since it gets checked out from cvs in that module, or gnome-applets,
since it is an applet?

Thanks

Matt

Perhaps a good place to start is the gnome-applets. They are small and a lot of them need a lot of work.
Same thing goes with gnome-utils. There is a TODO item for the tasklist in the TODO database. How about
adding the ability to drag windows between seperate workspaces in desk-guide? A lot of people want that
feature.

That may be a good idea, the tasklist applet is pretty neat however
can use some steriods here and there... (sorry for mentioning it here)
but the Enlightment tasklist/workspace viewer updates the window
thumbnails on a way neater way then gnome-tasklist applet does.. maybe
look into this and fix it some better.. also it would be nice
if windows get updated that aren't at your current workspace..but
with some less piority or something.

Is matthew doesn't like this idea maybe someone else does.. any volunteers ?.

Regards,

Dennis.
