[gnome-flashback] Patch: Fix expand/unexpand, fix panel size changing

Hi All!

This patch fix these things:
1) Expand/unexpand;
2) Panel size change;
3) Changing panel from horizontal to vertical works better.

This patch should go into master and 3.8 branch as I see only improvements.
