Most of us don't have many experiences with writing of documentation. I 
would help you with providing needed info and feedback.

The platform doesn't matter for you. Your work will be merged at the end 
and it won't interfere with other parts of GTG repository. (there are 
just two man pages, the rest is on the wiki). Feel free to choose a 
platform that suits you or your mentor from Documentation team better.
