It shouldn't as long as the gnome_db.gnorba file is copied to the correct
location.

This is because the GNORBA library (GNOME CORBA Object Activation lib) cannot
find the gnome_db.gnorba file. Check where it is, and where are the other
.gnorba files (/etc/CORBA/servers or /usr/etc/CORBA/servers, depending on your
GNOME installation). But this should have gone to the correct location after
'make install'. What version of gnome-db are you trying to compile?
Cheers
