Agreed, the last commit was big, and difficult to
follow, etc. but it will still be big even if I
signaled the individual functions.
 

If you are using Emacs, maintaining a changelog is really easy.  Using 
the keyboard shortcut "C-x 4 a", it will open the changelog in the other 
buffer, start a new entry if necessary, and insert the filename and 
function name where the cursor was.
