[Gimp-user] newbie trouble needs to fit canvas

just figured out a problem with changing the color to transparent...
it is a pencil drawing so the image (which is a parrot so not rectangular) is the same color as the 
background. i think i will change the color off the parrot slightly and then make background transparrent
