Hello,
I took a snapshot of the screen for my problem with gimp 2.10.0
flatpak, I have darktable 2.4.3 installed and I am on Linux mint 18.3
I can't open sony raw files in gimp 2.10.0 flatpak
As I explained earlier, this is normal with the GIMP flatpak. This is a
limitation of the sandbox model of flatpak. Probably at some point, we
will come up with a suitable solution, but right now the link between
GIMP and darktable or RawTherapee simply won't work with flatpak.
There is just no short-term solution. We recommend to wait for your
distribution to add a GIMP 2.10 package if this feature being missing is
absolutely a deal-breaker (which I would understand!).
Jehan
I hope you will help me
Thanks a lot

Hello,
Darktable open raw files *arw, but GIMP 2.10 don't and GIMP
2.9.9 do
it .
I tried to install darktable another Time, but nothing news.
Is it me or you have other message about it ?
First thing to check: Do you have the darktable raw loader
selected in
GIMP's
preferences? Version 2.10 doesn't copy over the settings from
2.9, so
you
might miss something there.
If that didn't solve it try setting the environment variable
DARKTABLE_DEBUG
and try again. It should show some debug messages.
Also is GIMP installed as a flatpak?
If so, don't search further. It's "normal". This is an
unfortunate
limitation of working in a sandboxed application. :-/
Solutions may be implemented at a later time. But for the time
being,
our current implementation (based on looking up the RAW software
from
$PATH) just can't work inside flatpak.

If GIMP is not installed as flatpak, then you can continue
looking for
solutions. :-)
Jehan
Thanks for the request.
Jean-Bernard.
