First thing to check: Do you have the darktable raw loader selected in GIMP's 
preferences? Version 2.10 doesn't copy over the settings from 2.9, so you 
might miss something there.

If that didn't solve it try setting the environment variable DARKTABLE_DEBUG 
and try again. It should show some debug messages.
