[gedit-list] Gedit does not have a preference selection on 3.8.2.

 I tried 3.6.0 and it was fine. Using Ubuntu 13.04 and Gnome shell 3.83. How does one set up preferences and plugins.

I really like gedit and have been using since I Ubuntu 8.04. Is there anything that I can do to correct it.
