I do think Evo could do with a similar feature to the Outlook
manual
archive and also the ability to open the archive so it looks like
another account down the left side of Evo's screen where you can
open
it and browse the folder hierarchy like it was in the original
folder
layout before you archived it. Then when you have finished you can
close the file and it will disappear from the left pane. There's
lots
of things in Outlook, particularly the newest versions but that is
one
feature that I do miss.
RFEs (Requests For Enhancement) should be posted on the Evolution
Gitlab page:
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/issues
Otherwise they'll just be forgotten.

Patrick,
I was really gauging whether you guys thought it merited an RFE as
there may already have been a feature built in that did exactly what I
was after and I just hadn't found it. Being fairly new to Linux and
Evolution I just wanted to check if it wasn't already present possibly
in a slightly different form.
Certainly from all the helpful suggestions there do seem to be a number
of ways to skin this particular cat.
