I agree if it happens again.. Oddnly enough I had to hard cycle my
computer about 2 hours ago because I went to open a song in VLC player
and for some reason Gnome totally froze on me and yes I had EV open. 

Forchantly, I went back in and checked all of my filters and everything
was like it was supposed to be.
