Google Contacts works fine with Fedora 22, Evolution 3.16.3 and GOA !
No problems with Mail, Contacts and Calendar.

For this particular issue no, it doesn't help. Google Contacts doesn't
work even in the most recent version of Evo and, as far as I remember,
there is no intention to implement the new authentication system in
Evolution: there is a perfectly acceptable, working way of doing it
using GOA.
