[Evolution] evolution calendar problem

I've posted a question about this before, but I haven't gotten a
response.

Under previous versions of evolution, in the calendar, the date in the
lower left monthly display was highlighted.  Also, when I clicked in the
daily listing on the right, I could scroll using the middle mouse scroll
button.   Under evolution 3.4.2, both these things fail.

> From some google searches, I have concluded this is because of bugs in
this version of evolution.  So it is unlikely that I can fix it by
examining my evolution files, wherever located.

Am I right about that?  If not, please tell me what to look at in order
to fix these problems.  I've already looked in the general places I've
been referred to without any luck.
