Have you changed anything recently?
What desktop are you using? (Gnome, KDE, Xfce?)
Did it suddenly stop working properly or has there been something wrong
since you installed F17?
Have you been playing with themes or font settings?
Have you run Evolution from the command line - if there is an issue with
missing fonts, then it should show up in the output there.
I am running Gnome. It has never worked. I did change the fonts from
"use the same fonts as other applications" to specific fonts. But it did
not work before the change.
I have not played with themes but I did change the fonts using Advanced
settings.
How are your fonts set in evolution?
In Evolution they are set to use system fonts. In Gnome "Advanced
Settings" they are set as follows
Text scaling factor: 1
Default font: Cantarell 11
Document font: Sans 11
Monospace font: Monospace 9
P.
Ok, your settings work. but tell me this. Why did I not have to fool
with his in evolution in the last 16 versions of Fedora? In the past it
just worked.
Unless someone else has had this problem, it looks like something
changed in your user profile. Try creating a completely fresh user and
logging in to see if the problem repeats. You could also check old
backups of your account.
