Now it works perfectly selecting or not one calendar or another...I
don't have changed anything apparently. Thanks for support anyway, I'll
post a new message if the error should appear again.

at the left pane in the calendar view, click on the name of your
personal calendar so it becomes the default calendar when setting up a
new appointment.
most likely the read-only "birthdays & anniversaries" calendar is
selected, that's why you get that error message (the error message is
much more clear in evolution 2.8).
