Happens quite often for me.

And carlos, go for it, if you can find the fix for it, i'll buy you a beer.  We're doing everything the api lets us do with e-tree, but sometimes it just refuses to go to where we tell it to, and nobody understands the code enough to track it down (none of us have a spare week to spend on it).  We tried to move to gtktreeview for this release but it didn't scale.  It also has similar problems anyway.
