I know this is a Gnome vs KDE thing but I still have no spell checking
function for evolution. (No option shows under
Edit->Preferances->Composer Preferances->Spell Checking <tab>->)

Can you post or RSVP with package(s) you used.

andre embrace:~> rpm -qa|grep spell
ispell-3.2.06-460
ispell-british-3.2.06-460
ispell-german-1.5-243
aspell-de-0.50.2-330
gnome-spell2-1.0.5-218
gtkspell-2.0.5-58
myspell-german-20040703-2
ispell-american-3.2.06-460
ispell-ngerman-1.5-243
aspell-0.50.5-40

aspell-en is no longer a package. I do not know why?

...but as already written, you only need gnome-spell >= 1.0.x, aspell
and aspell-XX installed.

not really ideas - but would be interesting to know what the GConf keys
  /GNOME/Spell/language
  /GNOME/Spell/language0
  /GNOME/Spell/language1
  /GNOME/Spell/languages
contain.

did you take a look at those gconf keys?
I have poked around googled and have no idea where in SuSE 9.3 these
keys would be?

I REALY must get spell checking to work. I can't believe NOBODY from
Novell's evo team has not loaded 9.3 I have done two loads and both lack
any spell checking.

cheers,
andre
