I downgraded evolution to 2.0.4, and got my addressbook back. Here's how
I did it on Gentoo..
vi /var/lib.portage/world
Add entries for gnome-extra/libgtkhtml-3.2.5, net-libs/libsoup-2.2.3,
and gnome-extra/gal-2.2.5. Run env-update. This will allow you to have
these library versions on your box, as well as the more recent
versions.
emerge =gnome-extra/libgtkhtml-3.2.5
emerge =gnome-extra/gal-2.2.5
emerge =net-libs/libsoup-2.2.3
emerge =gnome-extra/evolution-data-server-1.0.4
emerge =mail-client/evolution-2.0.4
copy your backup ~/.evolution directory back to where it belongs. Copy
back ~/.gconf/apps/evolution back to where it belongs.
done.
